En çok tercih edilen sanal makine oluşturma yazılımlarından VirtualBox'ın, 4.versiyonunda yeni bir kararlı sürüm daha kullanıma sunuldu.
Pc simülatörü de diyebileceğimiz açık kaynak kodlu yazılım, kabaca sisteminiz içinde başka işletim sistemleri de kurup kullanabilmenize olanak sağlıyor. Geliştirilme işi birkaç sene evvel Java'dan tanıdığımız Sun Microsystems'a, oradan da yakın zamanda Oracle'a devredildi.
